It’s January and those resolutions have kicked in! VFC members are keeping the Centre busy in pretty much all of our opening hours and it’s great to see everyone. Our fitness and yoga classes are enthusiastically attended, and our Pilates classes are fully registered. Our latest Boot Camp began January 16th with 18 participants dedicated to healthy weight loss through better food choices and increased activity. As part of the Boot Camp program VFC will host a presentation by Dr. Donna McArthur on February 6th at 6:30 p.m. entitled “Moving Forward into Wellness”. This is a free presentation open to all VFC members.
I’m excited about the ballroom dance lessons which will begin here on February 3rd!! Check on our website (on our “What’s Happening” page) or in-house posters for information on this program. Dance instructors Chris and Toni-Renée, here on a work-visa from Australia, promise a great learning experience and tons of fun in their classes.
Isn’t it great to have our own website?! Web designer Harrison McKay has done an excellent job and has been an inspiration to work with! Many thanks to Harrison for raising our profile in the community.
We can also look forward to Michelle Taylor’s running clinic(s) which will be offered through VFC in March. This year Michelle will offer two levels of training, beginner and intermediate, with all participants ready to enter race at the end of the 12 week clinic. Watch for more information on the website.
